A day of learning
So today I decided to finally get the school blog up and running. I have a feeling it will make school at home a little more motivated. Not that I need much motivation, but it does help. We all have our down days. The kids in parts of the day today seemed bummed about a few things when it came to work. I guess a late start was at fault. My eldest felt discouraged from writing anything and finishing her math. In the end she did well like normal. All in all though it was an o.k day.
We had a very exciting science project. I recommend this to anyone who is teaching. It is all about water surface tension. My husband decided to do a project adding corn starch in water. This allowing the water tension to change somewhat with hard friction.. It together acts as a liquid and a solid depending on friction. If you add vibration under it from a speaker it will turn solid and you can even watch some drip off the sides of the speaker not being affected by vibration. This was truly fun. I did not get a video of the entire thing so I asked the children to take some out tonight to just get a quick short video for a friend.
Math time!
Reviewing some math!
Some sheep fun!
Art time!
We decided to try out cold porcelain.
A pretty flower haylee made <3
My eldest helping me with clean up :) I did not ask her....
